Thinking of the future...
"The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways." - Robert Greene
The future I speak of is this newsletter.
Time has been tight this week, especially with being away over the weekend, so I wanted to share something brief—just enough to keep you in the loop about where things are headed.
Over the past few months, I’ve been posting weekly. Each edition has had a different theme, usually shaped by whatever I’ve been reading, listening to, or inspired by at the time. It’s been a learning process.
That said, I’ve started to feel the need for a more structured approach. I don’t have that structure in place just yet, but it’s something I’ll be working on over the coming weeks. There’ll be time spent thinking, refining, and deciding what the future of this newsletter should look like.
One thing I’m reflecting on is the personal branding aspect. I’m beginning to question whether using my own name for the website is the right fit for what I want to build.
If there’s one thing I’ve realised, it’s that you don’t truly learn until you start doing. And in doing this newsletter, I’ve learned a lot—what I like, what I don’t, and where I might want to take things next.
There will be a period of more change, more experimentation over the coming months but as for this far, thanks for following along. More to come soon!
Book Recommendation…
The book by Robert Greene is a blueprint for anyone striving to achieve excellence in their field. Through vivid stories of history’s most accomplished figures, Greene maps the journey. First, you must absorb the rules of your chosen craft. Then, during your apprenticeship, you rigorously apply them. Only then, as you evolve into a master, do you begin to break those rules and reshape them into something uniquely your own.
